The season of bloom - opening to pleasure and presence

God's timing is perfect.

Have you noticed how the first blossoms of Spring seem to open slowly, almost shyly — until one day, the whole tree bursts into green leaves and vibrant life? Our sensuality often unfolds the same way.

In midlife, arousal and desire may take more time to reach their peak. Yet this doesn’t mean they are gone — rather, it invites us to slow down, to savor, and to fully embody our aliveness. This is not just about sexuality, but about our emotional well-being, empowerment, and sense of purpose.

A new season always whispers its invitations. Spring calls us to awaken, to open, to feel more deeply. And yet, part of us may want to stay under the covers of winter — safe, comfortable, cocooned. Still, beneath the surface, there is a pull. A beckoning toward growth, transformation, and the awakening of our true essence — our life force energy.

Opening can feel risky. We may fear expressing our needs and desires, especially in times of transition — after leaving a marriage, losing a beloved, facing illness, or navigating the shifting landscapes of midlife. Even when we do take that first step into openness, we often get so busy with “doing life” that we forget to pause, breathe, and smell the daisies. On autopilot, life becomes reduced to thought, schedules, and headspace — while the richness of embodied experience slips quietly past us.

But spring is an invitation. The invitation is to notice, to feel, to allow yourself to be aroused — not just sexually, but by life itself. To blossom in your desire for intimacy, vitality, and orgasmic bliss.

You can begin simply: step outside, notice the buds, listen to the bees, feel the warm breeze on your skin. Mirror this blossoming in your own body. Caress your skin with tenderness. Take slow walks. Share lingering kisses. Wear fabrics that feel good. Tune into the pleasurable sensations that already exist within you.

Bring more pleasure into your daily rituals: listen to music that moves you, dance wildly in your living room, try out a new hobby, or savor the textures of a summer salad as though it’s your first taste of the season. If you share intimacy with a lover, explore new positions, make love outdoors in a private space, or sprinkle blossoms into your bath.

Permit yourself to embody a spectrum of safe, healthy, life-enhancing pleasures. Pleasure is not frivolous — it is your birthright.

And remember: just like the blossoms, you don’t need to rush your unfolding. Trust that your bloom has its own timing. And that timing — God's timing — is always perfect.
